Effect: The volunteer on stage is fooled twice and the audience sees how. After the volunteer selects a card, he chooses anyone in the audience and that person names the selected card. Another card is selected by the on-stage volunteer and EVERYONE in the audience yells the name of the card.
Like the balls over the head trick, the audience is an active participant in fooling the volunteer. The focus is on comedy with a bit of magic. Audiences love being “in the know.” Also, there’s a lot of automatic humor built into the routine simply by asking the volunteer how he was able to send a psychic message to the audience. As you’ll see in the eleven-minute video, every time the volunteer answers a question, the audience laughs.
